  • PARIS, FRANCE-- The Canadian Youth Delegation holds an action at COP21 addressing the need for youth voices to be heard during the climate negotiations. They held signs that read "Youth need to be heard, not just seen" and each sign also addressed an issue that the youth delegation is concerned with, such as stoping the tar sands and agreeing to zero fossil fuels by 2050. <br />

  • SEATTLE, WASHINGTON-- On January 29, 2017, the second night of protests over Trump's immigration ban continued with a rally and march at Westlake Park in downtown Seattle. The executive order signed by Trump on Friday bans people from traveling to the US if they are from one of seven Muslim-majority countries. Thousands of people gathered to protest in Seattle last night at Sea-Tac airport. People brought homemade signs and chanted "No hate, no fear, refugees are welcome here!"<br />

  • PARIS, FRANCE-- Youth activists at the Climate Generation Space protested the COP21 corporate sponsor Engie, the energy company in France, which profits from the coal and fracking industry. Activists held up signs that read "Engie, we see through your greenwashing" and "Kick big polluters out."<br />
<br />
Next door to the COP21 is the Climate Generation Space (Les espaces Générations Climat), which is a space that is open to the public as well as those attending COP21. Les espaces Générations Climat is where many NGO organizations are holding panel discussions and debates on solutions to climate change. <br />
<br />
