UN Sec Gen, Ban Ki-moon delivered a joint press conference with UNFCCC Executive Secretary, Christiana Figueres and the Cop 21 President, Mr. Laurent Fabius at the UN climate talks in Paris.

Talks on a universal climate deal shifted to a higher gear on Monday 07, Dec, 2015 with U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon urging governments to set off an "energy revolution" to rein in carbon emissions and avert disastrous global warming. Ban Ki-moon further mentioned "We do not have planet B, so we need to keep the planet safe and clean."

His brief was supported by Christiana Figueres who noted that governments need to come to a final agreement and save the planet.

Moreover, Cop 21 President Laurent Fabius stated that the draft presented to him represents progress. "But I think everyone will acknowledge that we need to go deeper and we need to firm things up before Friday. We’re not just talking about the environment, or the climate, we’re talking about life,” said Laurent Fabius.
