Pupils queue for water at a tank in Bukandula Parents primary school. Local women from Gomba constructed the tank using curved brick technology after being trained by Uganda Women’s Water Initiative using a grant from Global Greengrants. The tank is currently in use at the school collecting rain water for the 428 pupils who previously had to walk 6 kilometers to fetch water for school use.
